5 Reasons Why This "Zero-Pull" Pet Comb Is Ending Grooming Battles

By Dr. Sarah Mitchell, DVM Certified Pet Behavior Specialist

The dual-sided design is a game changer for my long-haired cat. One side cuts through mats. The other side smooths and polishes. I don't need two separate combs anymore. Grooming time just got cut in half.

My dog actually sits still for grooming now. He used to run when he saw the old brush. The rounded teeth and gentle design don't pull or hurt. He leans into it. Grooming is now bonding time.

The self-cleaning feature saves me so much frustration. Fur gets trapped between the teeth on every comb. This one has a button that pushes the hair right off. No more picking fur out strand by strand.

The TPR handle is comfortable even after 20 minutes of brushing. My hand used to cramp up with other combs. The non-slip rubber grip fits my hand perfectly. No fatigue, no slipping when my hands get sweaty.

How does the self-cleaning button work? Does it actually remove all the hair?

Yes, works perfectly. You press the button on the back of the handle. The back plate pushes forward and lifts all the trapped hair off the teeth. Pulls it out in one clump. No hair left stuck between the teeth.

Finally, a dematting tool that doesn't cut my cat's skin. I've used other blade combs that left nicks. The inner curved blade design is genius. It cuts the mat but glides over skin. No more accidents.

Will this work on severely matted fur, or just minor tangles?

It handles moderate mats well. For severely matted, close-to-the-skin fur, you should still be careful. I'd use it gently or take very matted pets to a groomer first. For weekly maintenance, it's perfect.

Works on my thick-coated Golden Retriever. His undercoat mats easily behind the ears and on the legs. This comb sliced through them without pulling. His coat looks professionally groomed now.

The blue color is nice, but the performance is what matters. I got the blue one. It's attractive enough. But honestly, the comb works so well that color is irrelevant. It just does the job right.
